Connor Steadman
Co-Founder & Chief Instructor
Hi, I’m Connor. I began karate in 2007 as a way to overcome bullying and build confidence. From the start, I was captivated by the art and committed to pushing myself to grow, earning my black belt in 2011. I’ve developed a deep appreciation for Goju-Ryu’s circular, powerful techniques and Shotokan’s fast, linear movements, blending them to create a balanced and dynamic approach to training.
What drives me most is inspiring the next generation and passing on the knowledge I’ve gained. I love helping students of all ages and abilities reach their full potential, both in the dojo and in life. My goal as an instructor is to challenge people to become the best version of themselves; developing not just skill, but confidence, discipline, and resilience that carries beyond karate.
As a co-founder of Kokutai Karate, I’m dedicated to creating a supportive, motivating community where everyone can grow, learn, and enjoy the journey of karate.
